Chronographing Your Gun!

For those who have their own equipment, chronographing your gun is one of the most important things to do before you step on a playing field. It is your responsibility as a player to make sure you are shooting at or below the required fps (295 at Twisted) throughout the day. For those who use CO2, chronoing once in the morning is not sufficient due to the properties of CO2. A CO2 tank chills upon filling. Once the gas begins to warm up, your gun will begin shooting at a higher fps. Therefore, if you are chronoing with a newly filled tank, you should chrono less than the maximum fps (280 would be the best) to allow for the spike.

Unfortunately, some players have been neglecting this very important task. Therefore, we have made changes to our policy regarding this matter. Effective immediately, you must chrono your gun in the presence of a Twisted ref before being allowed to step on any field of play. Once the ref confirms that you are shooting less than 295 fps, you will be issued a band that will need to be attached to the feedneck of your gun. Feedneck bands will be checked as you enter a field. If you don't have one, you not be allowed to play and will be sent back to the chrono booth.

In order to make sure players continue to chrono throughout the day, the refs will pull three players before each and every game for a random check on the field. If you are found to be shooting over the limit, you will receive 2 marks on your band. This has doubled from our previous mark system due to the numerous problems we have had lately. (Remember - if you receive 4 marks on your band we will not allow you to play the rest of the day. No refunds will be issued.)

We want you to have a great day at Twisted. But we also want to make sure that everyone plays safely and responsibly!

Easter Egg Hunt!!

Join us for a Twisted Easter Egg Hunt for Main Group players on Saturday, March 22nd! Plastic eggs will be hidden on different fields throughout the day. Prizes in the eggs will include coupons for:

* free entry
* free paint
* Twisted t-shirts
* barrel bags
* candy
* drinks
* paintball magazines
* giveaways from our good friends at Archon Paintball
* and any other goodies that we can come up with between now and then.

Some games will allow the player to automatically keep the egg. Others will require them to stay alive through the entire game in order to cash in the prize. One game during the day will contain an Easter basket filled with several eggs. Played "center-flag push" style, player who recovers the basket must stay alive during the entire game to claim it. If shot while in the possession of the basket, player must stand there, holding the basket while other players attempt to retrieve it!

All coupons (with the exception of free field fees) must be redeemed by the end of the day, Saturday 3/22. Only those playing "walk-on" will be eligible. Private groups/tournament players may participate only if playing in Main Group games. Tournament players will be limited to one hopper of paint per game.

NOTE: We will be closed Sunday, 3/23 so that our family (and yours) can celebrate Easter.

Twisted's First MVP!

Congratulations to Gabe Vaker of Atascocita Middle School for receiving Twisted's first MVP award on Saturday 3/1/08! Gabe received free entry on his next visit to the field.

We will be awarding up to one player (per day) the coveted MVP award as voted on by our Main Group Refs. The refs will be watching for "stand up" players: one with good sportsmanship and who follows all the rules, a player who assists others either on the field or in the staging area or occasionally one whose play on a particular game is so outstanding it needs to be recognized. Keep in mind, the MVP award will only be extended if one particular player meets the above criteria for that day of play.

Will you be the next MVP?
